Usage Determination 

Purpose

In order to execute usage-based billing, you have to record the usage and calculate the usage volume for which the customer will be billed.

Process Flow

       1.      You create and save a usage-based billing service contract, and the system activates the service contract and releases the billing request items.

       2.      You enter the usage via Counters and determine the usage volume by recording Readings, by sending Reading Reminders (if necessary), applying estimation procedures, summarizing periods in a Period-End Closing, making manual entries in the usage volume overview or by entering usage externally.
