Use

This function provides you with an overview of the activities that you can perform on the Mobile Client Companion. Using this application, you can maintain specific data on a Personal Digital Assistant (PDA), such as:

·        Activity information

·        Samples distributed

·        Business partner and contact person details along with their professional relationships

Prerequisites

You have set up the Mobile Client Companion application on your PDA. For more information, see Setting Up the Mobile Client Companion.

Features

·        Activity Management

Activities allows you to search for a list of activities, create activities, and maintain notes for an activity.

¡        Activity Journals: This function also provides you with predefined reports, known as activity journals, which allow you to report on activities performed. For more information, see Activity Journals. These reports contain details, such as the products assigned, the business partner involved, the status of the activity, and so on. If the Mobile Client Companion is being used in the Pharmaceuticals industry, then you can maintain the number of samples as well as a signature function to legalize the report as part of the activity journal.

In addition to these predefined reports provided by SAP, you can also create activity journals by manually selecting a product on the PDA or by using partner/product ranges (PPRs).

Note

To create an activity journal using PPRs, the Use PPR option must be enabled for the activity journal template. If this option is enabled, then a list of products based on the partner details is displayed. You can enable this option while creating the activity journal template in the Activity Journal Definition business component of the Mobile System Maintenance application.

¡        Surveys: A survey is a type of questionnaire that can be used to gather information from specific users, for example, as part of a marketing campaign to test the market before launching a new product, or as part of a customer satisfaction survey to gather feedback on a product already purchased.

Whenever you synchronize your data with your mobile client, the activity records along with their associated surveys are also downloaded to the Mobile Client Companion. Only the surveys that have been designed to be viewed on the Mobile Client Companion are downloaded to the PDA.

·        Sample Management

Note

The Sample Management feature is available only for the SAP CRM Mobile Sales Pharmaceuticals application.

Samples allows you to maintain the details of the samples, such as name of the product, and the quantity to be distributed or that has been distributed. Before you can distribute samples to a contact person, the system performs the Prescription Drug Marketing Act (PDMA) check on the number of samples to be distributed and contact person. For more information about PDMA, see Structure linkPharma-Specific Checks for Business Partners and Products.

·        Contact Person Administration

¡        Details: Allows you to search and view the details of a contact person. Additionally, you can create a contact person record.

¡        Marketing profiles: Enables you to specify the relationship the contact person has with the concerned business partner or with other contact persons.

·        Business Partner Maintenance

¡        Details: Enables you to search and view the details of a business partner associated with your company. This function also provides you with the option to maintain the profile of the business partner, such as when the organization was established, or who heads the firm.

¡        Marketing profiles: Allows you to maintain the relationships the business partner has with the assigned contact persons and with other business partners.
