Creating a Selection Header 
You use this procedure to create a selection header. A selection header is used to generate a target group. It contains details such as the name, the type, and the person responsible for the selection header. For more information about selections and target groups, see Selection.
Using this procedure, you can create:
· An independent selection header
· A selection header for an activity journal template
1. On the navigation bar, choose Selections and Target Groups ® Selections.
The Selections and Target Groups/Selections tile set appears.
2. Choose the List tile, and go to step 5.

1. On the navigation bar, choose Activity Journal Definition ® Search to find and select the activity journal template for which you want to create a selection header.
2. On the navigation bar, choose Selections.
3. The Activity Journal Definition/Selections tile set appears.
4. Select the Selection Details tile.
5. Choose New, and enter the necessary data.
You can choose a selection header to be any of the following types:
¡ Standard Selection Header
Provides you with a fixed set of criteria from which you can generate a target group. The name that you enter for this selection header appears as a hyperlink. When you choose this hyperlink, the Selections and Target Groups/Standard Selection tile set appears.
¡ Advanced Selection Header
Provides you with detailed criteria that enable you to perform an advanced search. You can select the Selection Type as Advanced Selection Business Partners or Advanced Selection Contact Persons.
The name that you enter for this selection header appears as a hyperlink. When you choose this hyperlink, the Selections and Target Groups /Advanced Selection tile set appears.

Advanced Selection Contact Persons is not used in the Activity Journal Definition component.
You have created a selection header.

If you have created a selection header for an activity journal template, then you can set the status of the template on the Template Details tile to Released.
You can now perform any of the following functions:
· Copy a Selection Header
You can create a copy of a selection header to create another selection header of a similar type. The copy of the selection header appears on the Listtile with the selection name prefixed with Copy Of. You can edit the name of the copied selection header.
· Generate Target Groups
Depending on the type of selection header, you can generate target groups. For more information, see Target Group Generation: Standard Selection Header and Target Group Generation: Advanced Selection Header.
