Function documentation  Target Group Generation: Standard Selection Header Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

Use

This function allows you to generate a list of business partners or contact persons, referred to as a target group, using a standard selection header. Target groups are in turn used for campaigns and trade promotions, or for the creation of activity journals. For more information about target groups, see Selection.

 

Prerequisites

You have created a selection header of the type Standard Selection. For more information, see Creating a Selection Header.

 

Features

·        Search Options

You can search for business partners or for contact persons. A list of business partners or contact persons that match your selection criteria is displayed.

·         The number of business partner or contact person records displayed is mentioned alongside the tile name.

·         Contact Persons is not used in the Activity Journal Definition component.

·        Target Group Definition

You can perform any of the following functions with the result list that is generated from the search function to create a defined target group:

¡        Delete: The items that you select from the result list are deleted.

¡        Add: Only the business partners or contact persons that you choose from the result list are added to the target group. If you do not select any member, then the complete list is added.

¡        Remove: Only the group members that you choose are removed from the target group. If you do not select any members, then the entire target group is removed.

¡        Replace:Only the group members that you choose from the target group are replaced with the group members in the result list, otherwise all the group members are replaced.

¡        Create New Target Group: You can enter the description of the new target group. A new target group is created that contains all the items in the result list.
