Synchronization of Activities with Groupware 
You can synchronize your activities (business activities and tasks) in SAP CRM with Groupware. The synchronization is bidirectional, that is, the synchronization can take place in both directions. You can synchronize your appointments and tasks in Groupware with SAP CRM as well as synchronizing business activities and tasks in SAP CRM with Groupware.
● You have assigned the necessary subscriptions of the site with the Groupware Adapter 01 (mBDoc) site type (see Create subscriptions for Groupware integration)
● You have made the necessary settings in SAP CRM Customizing under Customer Relationship Management ® Transactions ® Settings for Activities ® Mapping of Activities to Groupware. You can find detailed information about the required settings in the IMG activity Map Activity Text Types and Business Partners to Groupware (Customizing table CRMV_ICAL_ACTM ) under Customizing Settings for Activities.
Under Mapping of Activities to Groupware you can find detailed information on which fields in SAP CRM you must map to the appropriate fields in Groupware.
The Groupware Adapter 01 (mBDoc) site type is used to transfer data on activities and tasks with Groupware, to which you assigned the necessary subscriptions for the data transfer. Chief among these are the subscriptions for Groupware Customizing and activity management (see Create subscriptions for Groupware integration).
The activities loaded from SAP CRM (business activities and tasks) are indicated in the Microsoft Outlook or Lotus Notes categories with the prefix CRM_ACT <mySAP CRM Category>. You can edit these categories in SAP CRM Customizing under Customer Relationship Management ® CRM Middleware and Related Components ® Groupware Integration ® Maintain Groupware Object Master Category List.
The following functions are supported:
● Attachments to activities (business activities and tasks) can be synchronized between CRM servers and Groupware servers. The file size of the attachments is limited to a maximum of 1 MB for the synchronization. Detailed information on the setting up of the synchronization of attachments can be found under Synchronize attachments to activities in CRM with Groupware.
● Personal tasks are synchronized.
● Activities that you newly create for a point in the past can also be synchronized.
The following functions are not supported:
● Personal appointments are not synchronized between CRM servers and Groupware servers.
● Recurring appointments are supported only within the workforce management scenario, recurring appointments for activity management cannot be synchronized between CRM servers and Groupware servers.
