Object documentationLocation Hierarchy

A location hierarchy is a grouping of locations based on a status or category within a structural level. The grouping can contain several levels with the possibility of zero locations or several locations at each level.

Note Note

You can maintain location hierarchies on your SAP Easy Access screen (transaction nwbc) under Start of the navigation path Services Next navigation step Location Services Next navigation step Location Hierarchy End of the navigation path. For more information, see Maintain Location Hierarchies.

End of the note.

You use the location hierarchy master data to support planning, logistics, reporting, as well as demand modeling and forecasting scenarios. For example, you might want to plan a promotional event for a specific geographical location hierarchy.

Structure

The location hierarchy master data contains information required to represent location hierarchies (such as an identifier, description, type, type code, master data system, organizational data, and currency).
