The inbound interfaces in Demand Data Foundation (DDF) are used to receive data from other systems via RFC.

Prerequisites

  • You have ensured that the logical system is defined in Customizing under   Cross-Application Components   Demand Data Foundation   Basic Settings   Define Logical Systems  .

  • If you use a master data system, you have defined the sending system in Customizing under   Cross-Application Components   Demand Data Foundation   Basic Settings   Integration   Sending System and Master Data System Coupling  .

  • If you use SAP Business Warehouse (SAP BW), you have defined the mapping in Customizing under   Cross-Application Components   Demand Data Foundation   Basic Settings   Integration   BI and Master Data System Coupling  .

  • You have defined the load balancing in the Configure Load Balancing function.

  • You have defined the number ranges in Customizing for Number Range Object Maintenance under   Cross-Application Components   General Application Functions   Records and Case Management   Basic Settings   Unique Indicator   Maintain Number Ranges  .

DDF provides the following inbound interfaces for RFC communication:

  • Offers

Activities

DDF receives the data via RFC. The data is first saved in the DDF staging tables. From there it is transferred to the DDF production tables. For more information about this data transfer, see Inbound Processing.
