An amount category that you use to represent a charge that is based on an event such as a payment item posting, or an amount such as a foreign transfer amount.

Structure

The basic data for the calculation of charges is available in condition processing. Depending on the settings in condition type Customizing and in condition processing, you can definie the following charges:

  • Simple charge

  • Charges for Tiered, Interval or Mixed Tiered and Interval Calculation

  • Charges for Automatic Scaled Calculation

Basic Data

The following fields are always available for editing a condition with the amount category 115050 (Charge on Amount):

  • Condition Form

  • Interest Calculation Method

    If the condition type based on this amount category has differentiation category Remaining Term, this field is available.

  • Rounding Type

  • Rounding Unit

  • Item Counter

  • Allowance amount

    This field is available depending on whether a counter is set up in the Item Counter field.

  • Free Items

    This field is available depending on whether a counter is set up in the Item Counter field.

  • maximum number of items

    This field is available depending on whether a counter is set up in the Item Counter field.

  • Payment Currency

  • Exchange Rate

    However, this field is available only in the Bank Analyzer application.

  • Tiered or Interval Calculation

Specification of the Charge

Check in sequence which conditions apply to your settings. The system responds to the rule derived from these conditions. An action defines which fields are available.

  • 1 (Scaled calculation)

  • 2 (Interval calculation)

  • 6 (Mixed)

Action 1: Specification of a Simple Charge

The value of the Tiered or Interval Calculation (Item) field is 0 (no tiered or interval calculation).

The following fields are used to specify a simple charge.

  • Percentage rate

  • Amount

  • Minimum Amount

  • Maximum Amount

Action 2: Specification of Charges for Tiered, Interval or Mixed Tiered and Interval Calculation

The Tiered or Interval Calculation field value is is not 0 or 3.

The Condition Item (Upper and Lower Limit) field is available. In the table controls Tiered Calculation, Interval Calculation, and Mixed Tiered and Interval Calculation, the following fields for the specification of charges for for tiered, interval or mixed tiered and interval calculation are displayed:

  • Condition Item (Upper and Lower Limit)

  • Amount limit (screen output)

  • Percentage rate

  • Amount

  • Minimum Amount

  • Maximum Amount

Action 3: Specifying charges for automatic scaled calculation

The Tiered or Interval Calculation field value is 3 (Automatic Scaled Calculation).

You use the following fields to specify charges for automatic scaled calculation:

  • Amount

  • Additional Amount for Automatic Scaled Calculation

  • Amount Limit for Automatic Scaled Calculation

  • Minimum Amount

  • Maximum Amount
