Procedure documentation Steps in CEN (ABAP): Connection to the SLD Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

Use

Use this procedure to create a connection to the SLD in CEN, with which the NetWeaver Administrator can create objects in the SLD.

Procedure

...

       1.      Start transaction SM59, and choose Create.

The RFC Destination screen appears.

       2.      In the RFC Destination input field, enter SAPSLDAPI as the name of the destination.

       3.      Enter T (Start external program using TCP/IP) as the connection type, and enter a description of the destination.

       4.      Choose This graphic is explained in the accompanying text (Enter).

       5.      Switch to the Technical Settings tab page.

       6.      In the Activation Type group box, choose Registered Server Program and enter the name that you used to create a JCo RFC Connection in the Visual Administrator of the Java instance of your SLD in the Program ID input field. For more information, see Steps in the Visual Administrator of the SLD System.

       7.      In the Gateway Options, enter the gateway information for the data supplier bridge of your SLD. For more information, see Configuring and Activating the System Landscape Directory (SLD).

       8.      Save your entries.

       9.      Start transaction SLDAPICUST.

   10.      Choose This graphic is explained in the accompanying text (Display « Change), to switch to change mode.

   11.      If there is no corresponding connection to the desired SLD, create a new row. To do this, choose This graphic is explained in the accompanying text (Append Row).

   12.      Enter the desired date in the corresponding columns of your new row.

   13.      Activate the Prim. indicator for this connection.

   14.      Save your entries.
