Process documentation Customizing the Portal Catalog Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

Purpose

You can customize the following display attributes of the Portal Catalog:

·        The maximum number of entries displayed per folder.

·        The format in which objects are displayed: object ID, object name, or both

These display attributes apply to all portal editors based on the Admin Studio framework. For example, the Portal Content Studio, Package Export Editor, Permission Editor, and System Landscape Editor.

 

Process Flow

The display elements of the Portal Catalog are iViews. Therefore, to customize the Portal Catalog display attributes, you need to modify iView-based properties.

The following procedures describe the steps you need to perform in order to customize the Portal Catalog:

       1.      Choose the appropriate Portal Catalog iViews to configure. See Selecting the iViews to Configure.

       2.      Specify the maximum number of objects displayed per Portal Catalog folder. See Defining the Maximum Number of Objects Displayed Per Folder.

       3.      Specify the display format of objects in the Portal Catalog. See Defining the Object Display Format of the Portal Catalog.
