Broadcasting 

Purpose

The Broadcasting IT process describes how the system determines and processes the broadcast settings you have determined.

Use of the Process

This IT process is part of the following IT scenario:

Prerequisites

In order for the system to be able to run this process, the following prerequisites have to be met:

·        You have performed the necessary administrative tasks for information broadcasting in system administration.

·        You have performed the broadcast setting generation IT process and have defined a broadcast setting.

Process Flow

The following process runs primarily in the BI Java usage type:

       1.      The system determines the distribution type.

       2.      The system determines the recipient.

       3.      If an alarm has been defined, the system determines the alarm.

       4.      The system distributes the BI object to the chosen destination: universal worklist (UWL), KM folder, e-mail address.

Result

The system has processed the broadcast setting in accordance with the specifications and has distributed the BI object.
