Price Proposal

The following applies to time-dependent courses.
You can use this function (report RHCPRI0_LSO) to instruct the system to calculate a price proposal for a course based on the cost items stored for it, the reference units and reservation times.
The price proposed is the price for an individual participant, enabling you to fix realistic prices that adequately cover your course costs. You can adopt the proposed price as the course price or use it as a guideline for your own calculations.
You can determine prices for multiple courses at one go. The same applies when you accept the price proposal as the course price. Here too, you can edit multiple objects simultaneously.
The cost items for the course or course type, and the resource or resource type must be maintained in the Costs infotype (1036) with the relevant reference unit.
The report RHCPRI0_LSO has a pre-report RHXCPRI0_LSO with a simplified selection screen.
· The report calculates a price proposal based on the cost items stored for the course, and either the optimum capacity or the actual number of participants booked for the course. You accept the proposed price for your course by transferring it to infotype 1021.

When you transfer the proposed price, any other prices stored for both internal and external participants are overwritten.
· You can also use this report to calculate price proposals for alternative course schedules and costs (subtypes of the infotypes Time Schedule and Costs).
· You can use the price proposal function when you create a course type or a course. You can also access the report on the SAP Easy Access screen under Courses and in the Dynamic Course Menu under Course.
The following items are added together to determine a price proposal:
...
1. Cost items of the course (E)
2. Cost items of the course type (D) (additive)
3. Cost items of resources (G) reserved for the course
4. Cost items of resource types (R) related with the course type (additive)
5. Cost items of the equipment (R) contained in the room reserved for the course
If the same cost items are maintained for both the course and the course type, the values stored for the course itself are taken. The values stored for the actual resources are taken.
You can set parameters to determine the data output by the report.
· Objects
There are a number of ways to start the report:
...
¡ Enter one or more course groups. The system finds all of the courses belonging to the specified group(s) and calculates a price proposal.
¡ Enter one or more course types. The system finds all of the courses belonging to the specified type(s) and calculates a price proposal.
¡ Enter one or more courses for which the system calculates a price proposal.
· Reporting period
You can specify any period for which you want to determine a price proposal. The report only includes courses whose start date lies within the selection period.
· Course schedule
You can specify a subtype of the Schedule infotype (1035) stored for the courses to be used as the time unit in the calculation. Subtype 0001 is the default setting.
· Subtype of costs
You can specify a subtype of the Costs infotype (1036) if you want to have the cost items stored there used as the basis for the price proposal. Subtype 0001 is the default setting.
· Status of costs
You can specify a status for the Costs infotype. In this way, you can prevent the report from including data that is in planned status for example. This field is empty (SPACE) by default which means that the report includes both active and planned costs in the calculation by default.
· Currency
You must specify the currency in which you want the price proposal determined.
· Basis: Optimum capacity
You can select this parameter to specify that the report should always use the optimum capacity determined for the course as the calculation basis. (This is the course capacity taking the room capacity into account.) For information regarding capacity determination, see also Capacity (Infotype 1024).
If you do not select this parameter, the calculation basis depends on the planning status of the course as follows:
If a course is in planned status, the optimum capacity is taken (under consideration of the resource capacity). If a course is in firmly booked status, the actual number of participants booked is used for price determination.
The system displays a list containing the following information per course:
· The individual cost items
· The origin of the individual cost items (e.g. resource)
· The status of the individual cost items
· The price of the individual cost items
· The reference unit (such as time)
· The sum total of course costs (proposed price) and the calculation basis used (such as the optimum capacity of the course)
· The individual amount of course costs per participant
You can execute the following functions from the list screen:
· Transfer the proposed price as the course price. To do so, you must select the indicator Propose as course price and choose Execute price proposal. When you do so, the price is transferred to the Prices infotype (1021) appended to the course.
· Transfer the proposed price to all courses in the report with the function Select all.
· Display the resource list of the course.
· Display the resources not yet assigned, in other words, resources that have not yet been reserved and are still required for the course.
The following cost items are relevant for a five-day course with the optimum number of participants 10 (the calculation basis for the price proposal):
For the course itself:
· 10 €, Manuals (per participant)
Corresponding course type:
· 15 €, Manuals (per participant)
· 20 €, Catering (per participant)
Reserved resources
· 200 €, Room (per day)
Resource types
· 150 €, Room (per day)
The price proposal results from adding the following items:
· 100 €, Manuals (origin: course)
· 200 € Catering (origin: course type)
· 1000 €, Room (origin: course)
The sum total of 1300 € is divided by ten (the optimum capacity) resulting in a price proposal of 130 € per participant. If you select the option Propose as course price and choose Execute price proposal, the price of 130 € is written to infotype 1021 as internal and external price of the course.
