Checks for Group Participants

The following applies to time-dependent courses.
When you want to book participation for a company, organizational unit or other group participant, you can either enter the required number of participants as a no-name (N.N.) booking or display the list of participants in the group and select the participants you want to book.
The following checks are carried out when you make a group booking:
· Existence
The system checks whether the participant exists in the course period. If this is not the case, you cannot make the booking.
· Lock
The system checks whether another user is currently editing the participant or the course. In this case, a message to this effect is output.
· Capacity (for normal and essential bookings)
The system checks whether optimum capacity has been reached. If it has, only essential bookings up to maximum capacity are allowed.
The system checks whether maximum capacity has been reached. If it has, only essential bookings with displacement are allowed.

You might do this, for example, if there are only four free places for a group of six participants. You can book four participants and make waiting-list bookings for the remaining two.
· The system checks whether a participant is already booked for the same course.

If a group participant already has a booking for the same course for the same date with the same priority, the number of participants is increased accordingly.
