Participant Appraisal

Definition

Evaluation of a participant by an instructor according to predefined appraisal criteria.

Example

The instructor of a company training event evaluates participants using predefined appraisal criteria, such as knowledge of the subject matter, team skills, or active participation.

The instructor awards points for each criterion and adds a note if required. For example, knowledge of the subject matter: 3 points. Note: The participant has one year's experience and shows good aptitude for the subject.

Use

Companies that engage and invest in training and development of their employees naturally expect their efforts to be efficient and effective. In addition, it may be useful to be informed about the kind of target groups that attend a particular training event. A participant appraisalcan be used to determine the characteristics of such a group. Training Management contains such a form of appraisal.

Features

Create appraisals for all participants of a course No-name (N.N.) bookings for group participants

You can hold anonymous individual appraisals.

Specify per course type what form of appraisal should be used as participant appraisal.

Use any form of appraisal you choose to appraise a participant.

Define appraisal elements (criteria and criteria groups) via the form of appraisal. Each criterion can have its own specific valuation.

Assign a score or value to each criterion and add a note if desired. You access the note function via

beside each appraisal criterion. You access the editor by clicking the icon.
