Curriculum Group Info (Infotype
5004)
Infotype that contains additional information on the curriculum type. The additional information specifies how a curriculum is to be followed up or canceled.
The Curriculum Type Info infotype lets you define guidelines for follow-up processing of curricula. You specify whether participation follow-up can be done for each element of the curriculum individually or whether follow-up can only be done for the curriculum as a whole.

If no value is stored for a curriculum type in the Curriculum Type Info infotype (5004), the SAP system uses the default value stored for follow-up guidelines in table T77S0, under group HRLSO, semantic abbreviation ECFUP.
You can also specify how cancellation is to be handled for a curriculum. You specify whether participation cancellation:
· Can be performed for each individual element of the curriculum
· Must be performed for the curriculum as a whole
· Can be performed for partial curricula

If no value is stored for a curriculum type in the Curriculum Type Info infotype (5004), the SAP system uses the default value for the cancellation guidelines stored in table T77S0, under group HRLSO, semantic abbreviation ECCAN.
In the infotype, under Follow-Up Guidelines, you can select or specify the following:
· Curriculum as a whole
If you select curriculum as a whole, you can only edit all bookings for curriculum elements as part of the whole curriculum. When a course is followed up, course bookings that were made for a curriculum flagged with the follow-up guideline curriculum as a whole are removed from the selection and are not visible. The SAP system displays a warning that some participation bookings for the curriculum have been skipped. The bookings that are skipped are displayed in a list with the name of the curriculum concerned.
· Individual elements
If you select individual elements, you can follow up each participation booking for the course in the normal way. Follow-up of such a curriculum only considers the relationship with the curriculum or its qualifications.
In the Procedure infotype (1030), you have specified how relationships are handled. The settings made in the Procedure infotype regarding how relationships are handled do not apply to all the participation bookings in the case of a curriculum that should be followed up as a whole. Instead, the SAP system evaluates the procedure defined for the course type for each booking and handles the relationships accordingly.
In the case of relationship A614 is participated in by, the SAP system also sets a system indicator beside the bookings to indicate that follow-up has been completed. Participation that is flagged as followed-up is skipped by the SAP system when the curriculum is followed up. This ensures that each participation record is followed up only once.
If you follow up a curriculum via Individual Elements, it is not enough just to follow up the individual courses because there may be qualifications related with the curriculum. What’s more, follow-up that is done for individual courses has no effect on curriculum participation as a whole. Consequently, when you follow up Individual Elements of a curriculum, you must also trigger follow-up processing for the curriculum itself. In this way, you ensure that not only are the relationships updated but also that qualifications imparted by the curriculum are transferred to the participants as well.
The validity of qualifications appended to courses is based on the validity of the course. They are awarded on completion of the course. If there are identical qualifications appended to the curriculum or other courses, the SAP system selects the one with the earliest validity end date.
In the infotype under Cancellation Guidelines, you can select or specify the following:
· Individual elements
The Individual Elements indicator lets you cancel individual bookings. The SAP system deletes the relationship with the curriculum and cancel the requested bookings. You can handle the remaining bookings as individual bookings.
· Partial curriculum
The Partial Curriculum indicator lets you cancel participation bookings starting from a selected booking. All bookings that occur after the selected one are canceled too. Bookings that occur before the selected one are retained.
· Curriculum as a whole
The Curriculum as a whole indicator lets you cancel the whole curriculum including all its elements. When you cancel a curriculum, you cancel all its elements and all bookings made for it.

You cannot cancel participation in a curriculum element on the detail screen of a course.
