Use

You define differences between prices at your location and its competitors to enable the Two-Dimensional Price Maintenance Tool to propose prices that include a fixed offset between your prices and those of your competitors.

You can maintain differences at a general location level or for each material sold at your location.

Prerequisites

One or more competitor locations must have been assigned to your business location at the business type level. For more information, see Assigning Competitor Locations to Business Locations.

Procedure

  1. Choose Logistics ® Sales and Distribution ® Service Station Retailing ® Pricing ® Master data ® Competitor differences.

The Competitor: Change screen appears.

  1. Enter or select a business location and business type, and choose Enter.

The competitor locations assigned to the cluster are displayed in the Competitor table. If any differences have been defined, these are displayed in the Rate column.

  1. To define a price difference between your location and a competitor location, enter a positive or negative value in the Rate column. The Two-Dimensional Price Maintenance Tool uses this difference when it calculates a new price proposal.
  1. To define price differences between your location and a competitor location for individual materials, select a competitor by marking a row of the table and choose Material.

The Competitor differences (material) screen appears.

  1. To define price differences, enter positive or negative values in the Rate column.
  1. Save your entries.
