Procedure documentation Using Competitor Price Changes to Maintain Prices  Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

Use

SSR provides a price maintenance screen that allows you to display and maintain prices at competitor locations and copy these to your locations, applying any differences defined in Pricing Master Data maintenance. For more information on defining differences, see Defining Competitor Differences.

You can define your own price maintenance screens. For more information, see Two-Dimensional Price Maintenance Tool.

Procedure

  1. Choose Logistics ® Sales and Distribution ® Service Station Retailing ® Pricing ® Pricing.

The Fuels Maintain Pricing / Display Report screen appears.

  1. Enter the:

You can override the service type that you select here for individual rows of the pricing matrix by assigning an appropriate business add-in (BADI) for row definition during list variant definition.

  1. Choose Execute.

The Create Price Calculation screen appears.

If new competitor prices have been received from your service station, go to step 5.

If you are changing competitor prices manually, go to step 4.

  1. Enter the new competitor price and choose Enter.

The system proposes prices for the other materials in the row.

  1. Position the cursor on any of the pricing cells in the competitor line and choose C/P.
  2. The system proposes prices for your own location.

  3. Double-click a price cell.

The margin procedure defined for the cell is displayed, so that you can check margins.

  1. If you want to accept the price proposal, go back and enter a price change reason code.
  1. Choose Competitors.
  2. The competitor locations for which you changed prices are listed in the Responsible competitors field.

  3. Save your entries.
  1. If the location belongs to a price cluster, a dialog box appears, asking whether you want to go directly to the cluster maintenance screen:

If you choose Yes, the cluster price maintenance screen appears. For more information, see Maintaining Cluster Differences.

If you choose No, the Fuels Pricing Maintain / display Report screen appears. A message confirms that prices have been changed.
