Purpose

This section contains detailed information on the integration of the planning and production data:

·        Planned Orders

·        Production Orders

·        Planned Independent Requirements

The planning and production data can be transferred to SAP SCM as a standard process by activating the integration model; the online transfer then happens in the background.

The Initial load and online transfer is supported for AFS materials. The initial load is normally completed when the integration model is activated. For the online transfer, once the integration model is activated, then for all changes, a synchronous transfer is carried out to SAP SCM.

Constraints

Planned Orders

The following is a list of limitations for planned orders:

·        Avoid changes to AFS planned orders (for example, product view) in PP/DS (production planning and detailed scheduling).

·        All AFS planned orders (even manually created ones) are always treated as Supply Network Planning (SNP) planned orders.

In SAP SCM system, implement BAdI /SAPAPO/DM_SNP_FILT~CHANGE_ORDER_SNP_FILTER. This is to ensure that all the planned orders sent from SAP AFS are sent as SNP planned orders. For more information, see SAP note 724680.

Production Orders

The following are the limitations while transferring of AFS production orders to APO:

·        Transfer of bundles information to SAP APO is not supported.

For more information on bundles, go to the SAP Library (help.sap.com) and choose SAP for Industries ® SAP for Consumer Products ® SAP AFS 5.0 ® Production Planning and Control ® Requirements Planning ® Evaluation of the Planning Result ® Planned Orders.

·        Although only SNP functionality in APOis in scope for AFS, production planning and detailed scheduling (PP/DS) orders such as production orders are necessary for the SNP planning process.

As of now re-transfer of production orders to AFS is not supported. The changes to production orders in PP/DS is, therefore, avoided.

·        External processing of operations and components (subcontracting in manufacturing) scenario in SAP AFS does not support production order transfer production orders to SAP APO.

·        Combined orders in SAP AFS do not support transfer of production order to APO.

For more information on combined orders, see SAP Library (help.sap.com) and choose SAP for Industries ® SAP for Consumer Products ® AFS 5.0 ® Production Planning and Control ® Requirements Planning ® Production Orders ® Combined Orders.

·        For the production orders with fixed batch assignments for components, the information regarding the reserved quantity (J_3ARESM) is not transferred to SAP APO.

Planned Independent Requirements

The transfer of SAP AFS planned independent requirements to SAP APO is restricted as the transfer of material level forecast is not supported.
