Planned Orders 

Use

This function provides information on the integration of planned orders.

Prerequisites

●      You have set up the connection between SAP APO and SAP AFS.

●      You have checked the business transaction event (BTE) application indicator for ND-SCM and IS-AFS in SAP AFS.

You have made the settings in Customizing for Integration with Other SAP Components, by choosing Advanced Planning and Optimization ® Basic Settings for the Data Transfer ® Change Transfer ® Change Transfer for Transaction Data ® Activate Online Transfer Using BTE.

●      You have ensured that the required AFS materials (and variants), plants, work center (capacity), production versions (SNP PDS) are already transferred to SAP SCM.

●      You have maintained the materials requirement planning (MRP) type as X0 for all the materials which are planned in SAP SCM.

Features

This function offers the following features:

●      Unlike a standard MRP run, the AFS MRP run changes only the planned order structure for products with MRP type X0. The planned order dates remain unchanged.

●      The manual creation of an SAP AFS planned order (for X0) is supported.

Because SAP SCM is the lead system in planning and scheduling, this planned order is sent to SAP SCM as supply network planning (SNP) planned order and is overwritten by the new SNP run.

●      If the Component Fixed indicator is not marked, all the SAP AFS planned orders for an X0 AFS material are considered for bill of material (BOM) explosion.

●      The SAP SCM order object helps to map the order group to one SAP AFS planned order.

All the order group members are mapped to schedule lines of the AFS planned order. The AFS planned order number is sent as order group number. For each schedule line of AFS planned order, one SNP planned order is sent from AFS which uses the number range 01 of object PLAF, maintained in AFS.
