Action NetworksAn action network is a multi-dimensional object in which you define the business-related dependencies of actions .
Example: A planned order can only be released for production once the ATP check for the components of the order has been carried out. This means that the ATP check needs to be carried out before the planned order is released.
You define action networks in Customizing for the Action Handler in the process step
Define Actions and Action Networks
(transaction /N/SAPAPO/AHC1).
You use action networks for the manual Action Handler with iPPE .
Action networks are assigned to planned orders. In planned order management, you can display the action networks for all of the planned orders. This enables you to manually carry out the actions of the action network in the defined sequence.
You assign action networks to planned orders manually by using the action 01SAP_ASSIGN_ACTIONNET. For mass processing, you use the BAdI /SAPAPO/RPP_ORD_CONV.
Note
You can only assign exactly one action network to each order. If you want to assign an action network to an order that already has an action network assigned to it, you first need to initialize the order (use the corresponding action) in order to delete the original action network. This resets all data. You can then assign the other action network.
A preceding action can have several succeeding actions and vice versa.
Note
Standalone actions and actions within the action network are completely independent of each other. The execution of a standalone action does not have any effect on an action network that contains the same action, for example.
