  Manual Action Handler

Use

You use the manual Action Handler within planned order management in order to prepare production .

Planned order management provides an easy-to-use environment in which you can select planned orders for which you then carry out (SAP standard or customer-specific) actions that precede the actual production process.

You can only use this function when using iPPE as well.

Integration

This function is integrated into planned order management .

Moreover, standalone actions (see below) are integrated into the sequence schedule of Model Mix Planning .

Prerequisites

There are further prerequisites in addition to the prerequisites for the automated Action Handler:

  • You plan all production processes with iPPE .

  • You have defined standalone actions and action networks in Customizing in the process step Maintain Settings for Action Handler (transaction /N/SAPAPO/AHC1 ).

  • You have assigned an action network to the planned orders using action 01SAP_ASSIGN_ACTIONNET or BAdI /SAPAPO/RPP_ORD_CONV.

  • You are currently in the planned order management screen (transaction /N/SAPAPO/POM1) and have called up the order overview and the detail area.

Features

In planned order management, the functions of the Action Handler are listed on the tab page Action Handler .

There are two types of actions which you can carry out manually:

  • standalone actions, which you can carry out at any point of the production process (for example, send notifications, print documents)

These actions are displayed on the right-hand side of the tab page.

  • actions which have been linked together according to business-related criteria in order to form an action network (first carry out ATP check for components, then release orders) The definition of the action network in Customizing ensures that the actions can only be carried out in a sequence that makes sense for your business.

The actions in the action network and their position within the network are displayed on the left-hand side of the tab page.

You can carry out both types of action directly from the tab page . If necessary, you can specify parameter values for the parameters before carrying out the actions.

Note Note

Standalone actions and actions within the action network are completely independent of each other. The execution of a standalone action does not have any effect on an action network that contains the same action, for example.

End of the note.

Note Note

You can only assign exactly one action network to each order. If you want to assign an action network to an order that already has an action network assigned to it, you first need to initialize the order (use the corresponding action) in order to delete the original action network. This resets all data. You can then assign the other action network.

End of the note.

Activities

  1. Select a planned order in the order overview.

  2. In the detail area, select the tab page Action Handler .

  3. Choose on the tab page in order to switch to change mode.

  4. Choose next to the action you want to carry out immediately.

In the case of actions that can be parameterized you come to a dialog box in which you have to enter and confirm the parameter values that you want to use.
