Work Area
Definition
User-defined selection of the resources, products, and orders transferred to the directly invoked detailed scheduling planning board .
Use
The system uses the work area to determine the resources, products, and orders that can be transferred to and displayed on the detailed scheduling planning board. (See Selection of Objects to be Displayed .)
Structure
You define work areas in Customizing for the directly invoked detailed scheduling planning board. By specifying selection criteria, you define which
sets
of resources, products, and orders are to be transferred to the detailed scheduling planning board. Depending on the view, the system provides object-specific fields as selection criteria. For example, in the resource view, it provides the resource name and resource type.
Note
On the initial screen of the DS planning board, you can change the individual sets in the work area or change the work area.
