Editing Waste Approvals
Use
This procedure describes how you create and change waste approvals. For each waste approval, you can enter the following data, for example:
Waste codes to which the waste approval applies
The waste quantity licensed for the waste code in the waste approval
Waste management business partners to which the waste approval applies and that are involved in the waste approval, for example waste generators, waste transporters, waste disposers, and authorities
Data that is required for integration in the SAP System, for example contracts
Disposal channels to which the waste approval applies
Prerequisites
In Customizing for Waste Management, you have processed the following IMG activities:
- Specify Waste Approval Types
- Specify Processing Status for Waste Approvals
Procedure
In the
Waste Management menu, choose Master data ®
Overview.
Creating Waste Approvals
In the overview tree, double-click the waste management business partner for which you want to create a waste approval.

Since this waste management business partner
is automatically assigned to the waste approval, you should only choose a waste management business partner that is also involved in the waste approval.Proceed as follows, depending on the objects that you want to assign to the waste approval:
- Choose the Waste Approval tab page directly if you initially only want to assign the waste management business partner that you chose at the start to the waste approval.

Do not select any other data records on the other tab pages before you choose the Waste Approval tab page.
- Proceed as follows if you want to assign a disposal channel to the waste approval:
- Choose the Disposal Channel tab page.
- Select the disposal channel that you want to assign to the waste approval.
- Choose the Waste Approval tab page.

If you chose a waste transporter in step 2, you cannot assign a disposal channel in this way in the standard system since the Disposal Channel tab page is hidden for waste transporters. In this case, double-click the waste generator or waste disposer from the disposal channel in step 2.
- Enter data as required.
- Select the waste approval and choose the following pushbuttons:
- Waste code
to assign waste codes to the waste approval and to enter data related to the waste codes, such as licensed quantities (see
Editing Waste Code Assignments)
Partners to assign more waste management business partners to the waste approval and to enter data related to the waste management business partners assigned, such as
purchasing documents and
sales documents (see
