Using Integration in Time Management
Use
The following procedures show how you can use integration in Time Management.
You can perform the following activities:
Prerequisites
You are editing an incident/accident log entry for a person affected who is an
employee. You are in the details screen for the person affected and have opened the Time data tab page. For more information on navigation, see
Editing Incident/Accident Log Entries.Procedures
You call the various activities using a pushbutton. This button changes its appearance depending on the activities that are possible in each stage of editing the time data.
Create absences
The Incident/Accident Log: Create/Assign Absence dialog box appears. The Create absence tab page is shown.
This creates the absence in Time Management and enters the data relevant for processing of the accident in the time data for the incident/accident log entry.
The name of the pushbutton has changed. It now appears as Change HR absence.
You can then: edit the absence, remove the assignment to the absence, or delete the absence again.

If an absence you use in the incident/accident log is changed in Time Management, the identifier also changes. This means that the absence created in the incident/accident log references a data record that no longer exists. If this occurs, a system message will appear when you attempt to call the data record from the incident/accident log. You can correct the absence by assigning the current absence from Time Management or you can create a new absence.

You can perform an evaluation in the
Remove the assignment to absences
The Incident/Accident Log: Edit Absence dialog box appears. The Change absence tab page is shown.
This removes the absence from the incident/accident log entry. The absence still exists in Time Management.
The name of the pushbutton changes to Create HR absence.
Delete absences
The Incident/Accident Log: Edit Absence dialog box appears. The Change absence tab page is shown.
This removes the absence from the incident/accident log entry and deletes it in Time Management.
Assign absences
If corresponding absences already exist in Time Management for the person affected, these absences are proposed to you for assignment.
The Incident/Accident Log: Create/Assign Absence dialog box appears.
A list of absences that correspond to the accident category appears.
The corresponding time and absence data is transferred to the time data of the incident/accident log entry.
In the same way as when you create an absence you can then edit the assigned absence, delete it, or remove the assignment again.
Display linked absences
In Time Management, absences that belong together can be linked by means of an indicator. For example, a subsequent absence caused by a related illness can be linked to the original absence caused directly by the accident, which can have an effect on the end of continued pay.
Linked absences are displayed in the incident/accident log for information purposes. If a link exists, when you choose Change HR absence the additional Display links tab page appears in which the links are listed.
