Plan Data Transfer

Use

As with actual data, you can also transfer plan data from CO objects to Profit Center Accounting.

In contrast to actual data, however, you can store plan data in a number of different versions. These versions have a uniform meaning throughout all of CO and Profit Center Accounting (see Plan Versions).

This lets you summarize plan values from different CO objects with the same version in profit centers.

There are two ways you can transfer plan data from the various CO objects to Profit Center Accounting:

in realtime by activity (see Transferring Plan Data Online from Other Applications)

subsequently using the manual posting function (see Posting Plan Data Subsequently)

Note

The plan data is always transferred from objects of short-term company planning (planning period of one fiscal year) to Profit Center Accounting. The data from object planning, such as the plan data for a specific production order, is not transferred.

The plan data from the various objects is valid for the same planning period and can therefore be summarized in Profit Center Accounting.

To depict plan results using the period accounting method, you can create certain elements of profits, such as changes in inventory or material direct costs, when you plan profit centers directly (see Planning Profit Centers Directly).
