Which Type of Connection?

You can connect an output device (PC printer or fax machine) locally or remotely to the R/3 System. Answer the questions below to decide which procedure to use.

In this case, you can create a local connection to the printer. In each case, the Windows NT Print Manager will take care of R/3 print requests.

A local connection to the printer is usually the best as it is the fastest and most reliable type of connection.
