Use

You can use this procedure to display data for one or more value assignment types in different ways.

If you want to display the data of only one value assignment type as a list in the SAP System, choose the simpler procedure Displaying Individual Properties as a List instead.

Prerequisites

You have run a specification search or loaded a set of hits in the specification information system and are located on the hit list screen (see Accessing the Specification Information System).

Procedure

  1. Select the specifications for which you want to display properties.
  1. Choose one of the following steps:

The Display Output Variant: Group Overview dialog box appears.

  1. Double-click an output variant for displaying properties. The standard system contains output variants VALUATION, EXCEL, EXCEL-LAB, and EXCEL-REG in group EMPTY for this.
  2. The system takes you back to the hit list.

  3. Choose This graphic is explained in the accompanying text.

If you have chosen an output variant in which no value assignment type has been selected, a property tree first appears. Select the value assignment types you want to display and choose This graphic is explained in the accompanying text.

Note

If you have already selected a value assignment type on the initial screen using the Substance with property search function, this is selected automatically and the property tree does not appear.

Note

If you use Microsoft Excel, you can select a maximum of 50 value assignment types.

Depending on the output variant you have chosen, the system outputs the relevant data as follows:

Output VALUATION

The data of the value assignment types selected is displayed as a list on the Specification Information System: Properties screen in the SAP System. All selected specifications are listed with the corresponding data. In the header section for each specification, the identifiers are displayed for each specification according to the column selection on the hit list.

Within the output, you can:

The SAP System determines the following for the specifications selected:

The data is then downloaded to your PC and Excel is started:

Any values the SAP System finds that correspond to the selection criteria are displayed.

Note

In Excel, you can process the data and store it in an Excel file. However, you cannot import the changes back into the SAP System. Excel is a display program only for the SAP data.

Note

To use output variant EXCEL list in the standard system, you must select the value assignment types manually. For output variants EXCEL-LAB and EXCEL-REG, however, the value assignment types are predefined in Customizing and are related to the identification data or notification status.

In the standard system, you can define in Customizing that additional data is output for output variants EXCEL, EXCEL-LAB, and EXCEL-REG.
