Integration in Plant Maintenance
This process allows you to transfer technical industrial hygiene and safety measures to maintenance processing in the SAP Plant Maintenance component as tasks and read them back to Industrial Hygiene and Safety when they are completed.
· In the standard system this process is intended only for safety measures of the category technical. By making appropriate settings in Customizing you can also use it for additional or other safety measure categories. You make the necessary settings in Customizing for Industrial Hygiene and Safety under Specify Safety Measure Categories.
· In Customizing for Industrial Hygiene and Safetyunder Specify Environment Parameters you must have assigned the notification type you use for plant maintenance notifications from Industrial Hygiene and Safety to the environment parameter IHS_NOTIFICATION_TYPE. See also Customizing for Industrial Hygiene and Safety under Set Up Plant Maintenance Customizing for IHS.
· You must have scheduled the return report program REHS_GET_ACTIONS_FROM_PM. SAP recommends that you schedule the report program once daily to run directly or as a background job. For more information, see the documentation for the report program.

1. Create one or more safety measures of the safety measure category technical.
You can only transfer safety measures to Plant Maintenance that do not have the status Task completed (TSCO).
2.
Select the
safety measures you want to transfer and create a maintenance notification
using
.

If the work area to which the safety measures relate contains a functional location or equipment as an integration object, you can specify these as reference objects for the notification.
The status of the safety measures is switched to
In process by PM (IPPM). For every safety measure
transferred, the
pushbutton also appears in the list of safety
measures: you can use it to display the notification together with the safety
measures.
3. Plant Maintenance processes the notification from Industrial Hygiene and Safety.

As long as tasks (safety measures) are being processed by Plant Maintenance, they cannot be changed in Industrial Hygiene and Safety.
4. When all tasks in the notification are completed and the report program REHS_GET_ACTIONS_FROM_PM is executed, the notification is read back to Industrial Hygiene and Safety. The original data from the safety measures is then updated.

Even if a task was deleted by Plant Maintenance, this is taken into account when the tasks are read back. The safety measure is not deleted in Industrial Hygiene and Safety but is assigned the status Deleted by PM (DLPM). If the whole maintenance notification was deleted in Plant Maintenance, the status of the safety measures is set to Task outstanding (TSOS). For more information, see the documentation for the report program and Status Editing for Industrial Hygiene and Safety Measures .
5. When you have read the notification back to Industrial Hygiene and Safety, you will find an e-mail in your SAPoffice inbox that tells you which safety measures were returned.
6. Check the effectiveness of the safety measures. To do this you can edit the following fields in the Additional information group box for each safety measure:
- Execution (date, time)
- Checks (date, time)
- Effectiveness
- Administrator
- Resp. for check
