
Filter in the iPPE Workbench
Use
You can use the filter to control which iPPE objects are displayed in the iPPE workbench navigation tree and field catalog.
You can set the context in which you are working, such as when you are balancing lines or developing specific parts of your product in the
iPPE focus.
To reset a filter, choose
. This deactivates the filter so that it no longer affects the display or your work in the iPPE workbench.
Integration
The filter criteria correspond to those defined in the field catalog for the current
user profile.Features
You can create your own filter, copy an existing filter, and decide whether other users can also use or change the filter.
You can set the user profile in which the filter is to be active and state whether it is to be used in a particular context.

The system offers only those user profiles for selection in the filter that are assigned to the user in iPPE Customizing.
There are 4 tab pages for controlling which objects are displayed and which options are available for editing:
You can enter a plant, usage and values for the effectivity parameters to control how your product structure is displayed.
If you wish to simulate a configuration, you must set the Parameter Effectiv. indicator.

When you have already recorded a configuration for the material or product in the material/product master, the configuration is displayed in the area Global Characteristic Valuation. You can change these values and save them for this filter. You can load the results of the value assignments in the navigation tree.

If you change the values, it has no effect on the configuration of the material/product in the material/product master.
You can decide which objects the system is to hide in the navigation tree when you work with this filter.
There are two levels when you use attributes to filter the display. In the Options section, you can choose how the objects found by the filter criteria (as shown in the lower part of the dialog box) are displayed. The objects can be:

All objects changed with change number 12345, that include the description Car A, do not belong to the Convertible class, and are assigned to class type 300 are hidden.

Creating a Filter
The filter is now saved and active. Filter active is displayed on the title bar.
Copying a Filter
The Copy Filter dialog box appears.
The filter is copied and all entries are transferred to the copy.
