Quantity Check

Use

The waste quantity entered by the waste generator in the disposal document (outgoing quantity) may vary from the waste quantity confirmed by the waste disposer (quantity disposed of). This function determines the disposal documents in which these waste quantities do not correspond.

Prerequisites

The system only checks disposal documents that fulfill the following conditions:

The disposal document contains an outgoing quantity and a quantity disposed of.
The disposal document has a status for which you have set the Qty check indicator in the IMG activity Specify Processing Status for Disposal Documents in Customizing for Waste Management. As standard, these are the disposal documents that have the status COMPL (Data complete).

Features

When you execute this function, the system sets the status ABERR (Quantity variance) for all disposal documents in which a quantity variance has been found, tells you how many of these disposal documents there are, and displays the disposal documents under the corresponding node in the overview tree.

Activities

In the Waste Management menu, choose one of the following paths:

Disposal documents ® Display

Disposal documents ® Change

The Display Disposal Documents or Change Disposal Documents screen appears.

Note

The system does not take into account whether any disposal documents are selected in the overview tree, in other words all disposal documents that have the status described under Prerequisites are checked.

A message is displayed telling you how many disposal documents with quantity variance have been found.

Confirm the message.

The system sets the status ABERR for the disposal documents in which a quantity variance has been found and displays them under the This graphic is explained in the accompanying text Quantity variance node.

Note

In the SAP reporting component, you can use a variant of the Simplified Disposal Document Display function to list the disposal documents in which a quantity variance has been found.

In the SAP reporting component, you can use the functions Check Whether Time and Quantity Exceeded in Disposal Documents and Check Whether Time and Quantity Exceeded in Documents with Message (which correspond to the reports EHSWAR_MNCHECKM and EHSWAR_MNCHECK respectively). These reports execute the quantity check described here and also the check described under Return Date Check. The report EHSWAR_MNCHECK does not output any messages and can be scheduled as a job and, for example, executed periodically in the background. Note the following:

No job log is created.
Disposal documents that are edited while the job is being executed are not entered.
