Prerequisites

You have change authorization for the query group where you want to create a query or in which the query you want to edit is located.

If you want to copy or move query steps from queries in other groups to the current query, you will also require change authorization for the respective group.

Procedure

  1. In the Structure linkProduct Safety menu, choose one of the following paths:

The initial screen for these functions appears.

  1. Choose Utilities ® Query ® Load.

The group overview of the queries is displayed.

  1. Choose This graphic is explained in the accompanying text.
  1. Choose one of the following steps:

The Query: Create dialog box appears.

  1. Enter data as required. To enter the key for the query in the Grp entry field, you can choose one of the following options:

If you want to use an existing query as a copy template, you must copy it and then edit the copy as described here.

  1. Choose This graphic is explained in the accompanying text and then This graphic is explained in the accompanying text.

The group overview of queries is displayed again from where you must edit the new query.

  1. Position the cursor on the query you want to edit and choose This graphic is explained in the accompanying text.

The Edit Query: Step Overview dialog box is displayed. From here you have a number of options for editing the query. These are:

Queries that contain a where-used list cannot be edited.

Note

You can simulate the edited query from the query overview. To do this, choose This graphic is explained in the accompanying text.
