Site Map

Definition

The site map is a representation of the physical layout of the warehouse using 3-D coordinates.

Use

You define the site map for your site in Customizing for Logistics Execution ® Task and Resource Management ® Master Data ® Site Map Management.

This includes enhancing warehouse management objects for inclusion in the site map (Customizing for Logistics Execution ® Task and Resource Management ® Site Map Management ® Enhance Warehouse Management Objects).

The site map fulfills the following roles:

Assists with routing and the prioritization of tasks

Enables TRM to track activities in the warehouse and provide location-related information, such as the current location of a resource

The site map contains information on the following:

Nodes

Working Areas

Zones and zone groups

Levels

Obstacles

Storage bins
