Node 

Definition

A node is a point in the warehouse through which resources may pass (logical node) or where goods are to be placed (physical node).

In Customizing for Logistics Execution ® Task and Resource Management ® Master Data ® Site Map Management ® Define Nodes and Entries/Exits to/from Zones, you define nodes, including those nodes that serve as entry nodes or exit nodes for zones.

Logical nodes (such as obstacle corners and zone entry and exit nodes) are used to calculate the distances of the various route possibilities at task creation while physical nodes (such as bins) are nodes in which goods can be placed. All physical nodes function as logical nodes but not vice versa.

1. A physical and logical node that serves as an entry/exit point to a specific P&D zone
2. A logical node representing an edge of the fixed bin storage type as an obstacle
3. A logical entry and exit node for the fixed bin area
