Prerequisites

An organizational structure complete with positions and holders must exist. You are the line manager for an organizational unit within this structure and have the authorizations necessary to perform compensation administration for the employees in this organizational unit.

You must also have a valid Communications infotype (0105) record for subtype 0001 (System user name).

Note The system uses the organizational unit to which you are assigned as the starting point and then reads all the subordinate organizational units until it finds another line manager.

Procedure

  1. On the Compensation Management screen, choose Administration ® Adjustments menu
  2. The Compensation Management - Compensation Adjustments screen appears

  3. Select a period, a reason and, if required, an adjustment type
  4. Select the Processor view and Line Manager and choose This graphic is explained in the accompanying text (Execute compensation adjustment).

The <Name of Adjustment Reason>: Compensation Adjustment Types and Employees screen appears.

Result

The system has generated a list of employees. All the employees assigned to the subordinate organizational units that do not have a line manager are included in the employee list for compensation adjustments. The system also includes the employee who is line manager of the subordinate organizational unit, and not the other employees in the organizational unit.

You can now perform compensation administration for these employees.
