Use
With the correspondence component you can create documents (in letter form, e-mail or fax) and send them to your business partners. The main aspects are:
- Functions that are easy to set up
- Adaptation to your own requirements
- Flexible use of correspondence
Implementation Considerations
Install this component for your business transactions in Flexible Real Estate Management if you intend to:
- Use the standard correspondence delivery package
- Define your own standard correspondence
Purpose
The Correspondence component provides correspondence activities for applications of Flexible Real Estate Management. You can choose between two technically different types of correspondence that can either be used individually or in combination with each other, depending on your requirements.
Smart Forms (mass print and single print)
Office Application (only single print): this lets you create single documents using word processing software (such as Microsoft Word).
With both correspondence types you can print:
- Contract-related documents
- Master data-related documents
You can also:
- Archive the documents you create in the system with a link to the respective business object (Real Estate object)
- Locate your archived documents

Changes from Standard RE
Improvements due to Smart Form Technology
Transparent form flow logic, defined solely in the Form Builder
Adjustments only made in the form itself. No separate text modules and print program required
Forms and styles are cross-client and standalone transport objects
Program symbols are clearly defined and can be inserted in the form text with Drag&Drop
Form Builder uses various checks to recognize form fields (such as program fields) during the initial design phase
Improved performance
- Thanks to improved internal control, the runtime for creating a form is approx. 30-50% of the original time. For a typical two-page document the runtime for output of a spool request is between 0.3 and 0.6 seconds, depending on how much data is retrieved
- In the case of archiving, the runtime saving compared to Standard Real Estate is even greater. Previously two separate internal formatting processes were required; this is no longer required in Flexible Real Estate Management
New Functions
All selections screens use a standard structure for both mass print and single print
Correspondence available for master data objects
In every selection screen you can either insert your own text or choose a predefined text module
You can always display the document list before print and change to the print preview
You can define the output options (output device, output immediately, and so on) for each output activity
You can output document without reference to a partner
The system supports various sort variants
Additional output media: e-mail and fax
Company code is always a selection field and not a parameter in the selection screens
