Define PI
Categeories for R/3 PI Sheet Using PI Assistant
In this section, you define the process
instruction categories for the R/3
PI sheet using the
process instruction assistant.
When creating a process instruction in the
master recipe or process order, you must assign it to a instruction category.
Thus, the settings you make here serve as a reference for the process
instruction. Except for the process instruction type, you can, however, change
all settings in the process instruction.
Note
You can also make the corresponding settings for your process instruction
categories directly in the characteristic overview. If you want to do so, see
the notes in section
Define PI categories for R/3 PI sheet using char.
overview.
Requirements
If you want to use characteristics in your
process instructions that are not contained in the standard system, you must
define these characteristics in the system; see
Define characteristics for process instructions .
If you want to define a process instruction
category of type process data request or
process data calculation formula, you must first create the
corresponding message category; see Set
up process message categories.
If you want to define a process message
category of type dynamic function call , you must
first create the function module to be called; see
Define R/3 function module.
Standard

The standard system contains several examples
for process instruction categories for the R/3 PI sheet.

relevant field in the process instruction category blank.
