This demo example shows the usage of the SAP Business Workflow tools and guides you through the modules of the workflow "Process notification of absence" (cf. Introductory Workflow Example (Leave Form)). That script describes an example workflow model, here you can learn about the different elements of a workflow and how to edit them with workflow tools. The main focus of this demo is therefore not a particular SAP R/3 System business function but on the use of an innovative tool to support and optimize business processes from any application modules.

You will see a flow log of a workflow model, the definition of the workflow model, selected organizational and technical details of various workflow steps (tasks, object methods) and the part of the organizational plan of the model company IDES AG used. This script gives you an overview of the SAP Business Workflow tools as introduces you to the creation of your own workflow definitions.
