Executing a Security Order

Use

Use this function to transfer the Order activity to the Contract activity.

In doing this, you can add data to orders you have already created. This may also mean that you have to adjust the security price you entered when you created the order to the market price prevailing when you executed it.

Procedure

  1. Choose Trading ® Transaction ® Execute.
  2. Enter the Company code and the Transaction number.
  3. Choose (ENTER).
  4. You can add to or change the order data.

    - Status

  6. Choose the Securities account cash flow pushbutton (in the upper part of the screen) to display the cash flow for the securities account including the transaction currently being processed. See also: Securities Account Cash Flow
  7. Save your entries.
  8. If the contract was the last activity in the activity chain (processing category 00001), the transaction is fixed (the flows are actual flows in the Treasury subledger). The flows are now Flagged for posting, and can be transferred to Financial Accounting using the Post transaction function.

  9. You can change the activity using the Changing a Security Transaction function, provided that is it not relevant for posting.

Result

The Order activity becomes a Contract activity.
