Creating a Security Order/Contract  

Use

You can create a security transaction as an order or directly as a contract.

Depending on the settings you make in Customizing for Basic Functions in the Define Field Selection node, you can set up the entry fields that are available to you in a variety of ways. You can set up each field to appear as an optional, required, or display field, or you can hide each field.

Procedure

  1. Choose Trading ® Transaction ® Create.
  2. The initial screen for creating a security transaction appears.

  3. Enter the Company code, Security ID number, Transaction type, and the Business partner (counterparty).
  4. Choose Order or Contract.
  5. When you want numbers to be assigned externally, enter the number of the security transaction.
  6. Choose (ENTER)
  7. The screen for creating order/contract data for a security transaction appears.
  8. The upper part of the screen displays the Company code, the ID number (choose to display the class master data), the Transaction type and the current Activity category.

    The screen contains various tab pages on which you enter the transaction information. Depending on the settings you make in Customizing for basic functions when you choose Define Field Selection, you can display different tab pages for Orders and Contracts. (However, you cannot hide the Structure tab).

  9. Enter the transaction data on the various tab pages.

    - Transaction Cash Flow

    - Memos

    - Status

  11. Using the Securities account cash flow pushbutton (in the upper part of the screen), you can display the cash flow for the securities account including the transaction currently being processed. See also: Securities Account Cash Flow
  12. Using you can branch to the correspondence overview for this transaction. There you can see the correspondence that was generated for the transaction and its status. You can also see which correspondence medium is the leading one for the status.
  13. Choose to check that your entries for the transaction are complete. If certain settings have not yet been made, a message appears.
  14. Save your entries.
  15. You can change the activity using the Changing a Security Transaction function, provided that is it not relevant for posting. The last activity in the activity chain is relevant for posting. When you save an activity that is relevant for posting, the transaction is fixed (the flows become actual records in the Treasury subledger) and the flows are Flagged for posting.
  16. Choose to branch to the initial screen for creating a security transaction.
  17. Choose to branch to your worklist.
  18. Post the transaction by choosing Transaction ® Post.
