Define and Set up Message Destinations

In this section, you make the following setting for the message destinations to which you want to send your process messages:

• You define the message destinations with their addresses.

• Depending on the destination type, you also specify the fields or interface parameters of the message destination that you want to use as target fields for message characteristics.

Message destinations are defined per plant. You assign destinations to messages via the message category or directly in the process message.
