Save
or Post (for example, of a program, order or master record) updates data in the database and performs a consistency check.
Depending on the task, Save or Post can be used for this function. If no consistency check is performed when saving or posting, then the function Save Without Check (Function) or Hold (Function) is to be used.
Save or Post can have different follow-up screens, depending on the task:
The user remains on the current screen and can continue the processing.
For example, if an object component can be saved/posted individually, and another object component is processed afterwards.

In the Menu Painter, you navigate to the overview of all pull-down menus after saving the actions contained in a pull-down menu.

Navigation to the initial screenIf another entire object is to be processed after the saving or posting.

Posting an invoice verification document.
In this case, the initial screen can also be processed in the background so that you directly navigate to a new entry screen after Save or Post.
