Transporting Variables

With the transport utilities, you can:

The Export function allows you to export variables from an SAP R/3 System to an external file.

The Import function allows you to import variables from an external file to an SAP R/3 System.

Many SAP R/3 application components are delivered with example variables (stored in client 000). You can use the Copy from client function to copy variables from client 000 (or another client) to the client in which you are working.

You can use the Utilities ® Transport ® Transport request function to include variables and sets in a Customizing transport request. For more information, refer to the Transport Sets/Variables activity in the Implementation Guide (IMG) for Special Purpose Ledger.
