
Change objects
Up until now, you could only process BOMs with reference to a change
number whose effectivity was defined by a parameter effectivity (for example, a serial number interval).
As of this release, you can also process the following objects in this way:
Settings in the change master record (indicator for the object types)
determine whether these objects can be maintained with parameter effectivity.

Prioritizing Effectivity
You want to choose the change status that is effective for multiple changes with reference to change master rceords of the same effectivity type. You can control this in one of the following ways:
Trace Log
The trace log tells you under which conditions the object change statuses are effective. This clarification is particularly helpful for complex changes so that you can follow up why change objects with a specific change status were selected.
You can switch the trace log on and off user-specifically in the Engineering Change Management menu (
Environment -> Trace on/off).
When you have switched on the trace log, it is automatically displayed
according to the values assigned to the effectivity parameters.
