Define
Material-Specific Overall Profile
In this IMG activity, you define
material-specific overall profiles for batch record processing in your plant.
In an overall profile, you specify the following:
- The contents and layout of batch records by
assigning a document profile
- The type of deviation analysis processing
together with the point in time and scope by assigning deviation
profiles
- If required, a status profile with user
statuses to add to the system statuses
- Thesignature strategy to be used if the batch
records must be approved by more than one person
- The point of time for batch record
archiving
If you do not define an overall profile for a
material, the system processes your batch records as follows:
- It takes all document types into account
except for user-defined data. It uses the standard forms and programs to
prepare the documents for output.
- You can start deviation analyses only
manually. The maximum scope defined in the standard system is used together
with the standard form and program.
- Only one signature is required to approve the
batch record.
- You must archive batch records before they can
be approved.
Batch records are also processed in this way by
default if you do not make an entry for some of the values in an overall
profile.
Requirements
- The master records of the materials for which
you want to archive batch records have been created in the system.
