Sampling Procedure with Fixed Sample
The sampling procedures in the R/3 System involve complex processes and relationships. This example describes some of the entries you can make in a sampling procedure.
Scenario
You use a sampling procedure to determine the inspection scope for an inspection during production. You specify a sampling type with a fixed sample, a valuation for a variable inspection, an inspection point, and a quality control chart.
Assignments
You choose a Fixed sample as the sampling type and a valuation mode for Attributive inspection number of defects. Since you want to define inspection points for an inspection during production, you choose Free inspection points and choose Continue.
Since you entered a fixed sampling type, you can assign a control chart that includes control variables and control limits in the sampling procedure. To enter additional data for the sample, choose Sample.
Additional Data for the Sample
You determine the Sample size and the highest possible number of defects that can be accepted. Since you use the sampling procedure in an inspection plan, you must specify in the Inspection frequency the inspection points for which inspection results for characteristics should be recorded.
