Installation of the AutoCAD-SAP Interface 
The AutoCAD-SAP interface enables you to perform important PDM editing functions in AutoCAD and in the SAP System, and to transfer the data you wish to edit between these two systems.
Implementation Considerations
If you want to install and use the AutoCAD-SAP interface, you must have the following:
- AutoCAD 14.01A, Mechanical Desktop 3.0
- AutoCAD module "External Database" (ASE)
- SAPgui (minimum requirement: Release 4.0A) installed on your PC
Integration
Work through the installation steps in the following sequence:
- Install AutoCAD, Mechanical Desktop, Genius or Genius Desktop
- Install the AutoCAD/MDT
External Database componentConfigure the "SAP-CAD interface" in the SAP System. This step is optional in that it is only required for materials and BOM functions)
Install
PDM integration for AutoCAD
Make configuration settings in AutoCAD (this step is also optional)
Create the
gesprese.cfb file (this occurs automatically)
