Installing PDM Integration for AutoCAD 

First of all, start AutoCAD. Depending how your AutoCAD is configured, a dialog box might appear when you start AutoCAD.

 

This dialog box is used to control AutoCAD. It does not have any effect on the installation procedure.

To continue with the installation, choose OK.

Menu path: Tools ® Load application

You start the Installer for the AutoCAD-SAP interface from AutoCAD by choosing the AutoCAD function Tools ® Load Application.

The following dialog box will appear:

File...

When you click the File… pushbutton, a dialog box appears where you can select the installer file.

Exit

Closes the installer.

 

 

 

 

To select the installer file, proceed as follows:

For example, you choose the directory "D:", and then the directory "install"

Select the file called "install.lsp".

 

The Select File dialog box closes, and you can see the installer file that you selected in the Files to Load dialog box.
Select this installer file by clicking it once. If the list contains any other files, make sure that you have not selected any of these. Now click the Load pushbutton.

 

 

Function

What the function does

Load

When you click this button, the function "Installation of the AutoCAD Interface" is started.

 

If you do not have GENIUS, the program will ask you to specify the directory in which the AutoCAD-SAP interface should be installed. Enter the appropriate drive and directory in the command line.

 

 

The function "Installation of the AutoCAD Interface" opens the following dialog box:

When you click this button, the function "Installation of the AutoCAD Interface" is canceled.

OK

When you click this button, the function "Installation of the AutoCAD Interface" is started.

 

 

Result

You will be notified if the installation program ran successfully.

 

To activate and configure the AutoCAD-SAP interface, you now have to close AutoCAD, and restart it.
