You use this procedure to set up the Inventory feature for the POS.

Procedure

To set up the POS Inventory feature you must do the following:

  1. On the General tab page on Start of the navigation path Inventory Next navigation step General Parameter End of the navigation path, select Show Inventory Counts in Price Inquiry.

  2. In PLU Configuration, enter the number of inventory buckets required in the Number of Inventory Buckets field.

  3. If you need to set a level warning for inventory, in Pending Transactions configuration select Warn If No Stock in the Inventory Counters section on the Advanced tab page. This warns you when the balance for a specified item is below zero when you enter an order. It offers the option of continuing the sale despite the negative inventory balance, or cancelling the transaction or item.
