Content usage mode: remote role assignment, remote delta link, WSRP application sharing

To facilitate the sharing of portal content (roles, worksets, pages, and iViews) between two or more portals that reside in a federated portal network (FPN), you need to manage the FPN and WSRP connections using the tools that are available to you in the portal. An FPN or WSRP connection is an entity which contains the connection settings that pair two remote systems to one another.

  • FPN connections: used to support the remote role assignment and remote delta link usage modes.

  • WSRP connections: used to support the WSRP application sharing usage mode.

Note

When working with SAP NetWeaver Composition Environment (CE) without usage type EP Core - Application Portal (EPC), the SAP NetWeaver CE system is qualified to function as a producer portal only. The SAP NetWeaver CE system can share its content with a remote SAP NetWeaver 7.0 consumer portal, a remote SAP NetWeaver 7.3 consumer portal (with usage type EPC), or a remote non-SAP WSRP-compliant consumer portal.
