You have saved the BOM header record and started adding the components by inserting new rows in the table on the Main
tab page of BOM Maintenance
which will open the Component Details
screen.

On the Main
tab page of the Component Details
screen, enter the required data and other data to provide configuration information about the component:

On the Alternates
tab page, add one or more alternate components that can be substituted for the original BOM component by inserting new rows in the table. The values defined in a BOM override the alternate components in Material Maintenance
.

checkbox.
On the Selection Rules
tab page, view the SAP ME selection rules that are assigned to the BOM component:
